Timothy “Tim” Stringle

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Timothy "Tim" Stringle, in his 67th year, on the evening of Thursday, April 2, 2026, at Woodstock Hospital, surrounded by his family and friends.

Tim lived a colourful and vibrant life, full of stories, experiences, and moments that left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him. He had a unique spirit and a way of bringing character and energy wherever he went. Tim was a dedicated and hardworking employee at Firestone in Woodstock, where he worked from April 1978 until December 2018 when the plant closed. Over those 40 years, he built lasting friendships and took great pride in his work.

He was predeceased by his father, Gerry Stringle.

He was a devoted son to his mother, Deanna Payne, and a cherished brother to Darryl, Todd (Kelly), Jay (Laura), and his sister Suzanne Stringle.

He was a proud uncle to his nieces and nephews: Scott, Andy, Teddy, Shevon, Brett, Danna, Haley, and Chantelle, along with their families, all of whom he cared for deeply.

Tim will be remembered for the life he lived, the stories he shared, and the connections he built with those around him. His memory will live on in the hearts of his family and friends.

A celebration of life will be held at The Woodstock Navy Club, 959 James Street, 4pm–7pm, Sunday April 26th.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the doctors, nurses, and staff at Woodstock Hospital for their compassionate care and support throughout Tim's journey.
