Mary Jean Lynn Roy
1978–2026
Mary Roy, age 47, of Ingersoll, Ontario, passed away on April 8, 2026.
Born in Calgary, Alberta in 1978, Mary was the beloved daughter of Leonard Drover and Rose Roy. She was a compassionate and caring person who touched the lives of many with her kindness, loyalty, and deep love for others.
Mary was predeceased by her father, James Kirk. She will be lovingly remembered by her mother, Rose Roy and Aunt Lynn Kirk; her siblings, Sean Kirk(Natasha), Ted Glass(Shannon), Marla Kirk(Richard), Ray Drover(Shaina), Mallory Roy(Trisha), Brendan Kirk, and Jacob Kirk; and many dear friends who became like family.
Mary had an affinity for dolphins and other animals, especially dogs, and found great joy in their companionship. She was an avid hockey fan and proudly cheered for the Toronto Maple Leafs. Mary worked as a medical secretary for many years, where she was known for her dedication and compassion. In her quieter moments, she enjoyed doing puzzles and spending time playing games such as yahtzee, dice, and euchre with family and friends.
A celebration of Mary’s life will be held at the Ingersoll Pipe Band Armoury on June 19, 2026, at 6:00 p.m.
Mary’s warmth, loyalty, and love will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
