Lynda Diane McNabb
June 28, 1951 – May 4, 2026
With profound sadness and endless love, we announce the passing of Lynda Diane McNabb, a remarkable woman whose life was defined not by grandeur, but by the extraordinary way she loved, cared for, and touched others.
A devoted wife of 54 years, cherished mother of two sons, proud grandmother of four, committed sister, loyal friend, compassionate nurse, and faithful soul, she lived a small life in the biggest and most meaningful way imaginable. Her world was built on kindness, service, family, faith, and connection — and through those gifts, she left an immeasurable mark on everyone fortunate enough to know her.
Throughout her years as a nurse and later as a director in nursing homes, she made people feel seen, valued, comforted, and loved. She believed deeply in caring for others not only medically, but humanly. Whether through a gentle touch, a listening ear, or simply her presence, she brought dignity and warmth to countless lives during moments when it mattered most.
Her friendships were one of the great treasures of her life. She welcomed people easily and loved them deeply. It has often been said that if every friendship earned a petal on a flower, she would be the most beautiful rose imaginable — full, vibrant, and surrounded by love gathered over a lifetime.
Above all else, she loved her family. Her husband Jim was her partner and steady companion for more than five decades. Her children (Jamie, Nichole, Matt and Barb) and grandchildren (Savannah (Shane),Brooklyn, Jaden, and Jake (Megan)) were the center of her heart, and she gave of herself endlessly to those she loved. She shared a lifelong bond with her brothers Dan (Debbie) and Chris (late Laurie) whose love, laughter and support remained a constant throughout her life. Her faith guided her life, strengthened her spirit, and shaped the compassion she shared so freely with others.
She leaves behind a legacy not measured in accomplishments or possessions, but in the people, she comforted, the lives she changed, the friendships she nurtured, and the love she gave so generously.
She will be missed more than words can ever express, loved beyond measure, and remembered forever.
