Derek Robert Melmer

Passed away suddenly, March 23, 2026, at the age of 33.

Derek was the son of the late Daryl Melmer (2013) and his wife Jeannette.

As a kid growing up, Derek was inseparable from his sister Christine. They could quote any movie together and were constantly making each other laugh with inside jokes. Derek was smart and competitive. He had a huge love for his dog Sterling and music. He loved watching sports and was amazing at playing guitar. Those closest to him knew he had a dry, sarcastic sense of humour that could make anyone around him laugh. He had the greatest support from family friend Jeff Robinson, who was also Derek’s boss. They went to London Knights games together and were really close.

Derek would be thankful for all loving support, but he’s not here to see it. Now he can rest and not suffer anymore, in a peaceful place with all his deceased past loved ones.

Memories of Derek will never be forgotten.
