Dearly loved mother of Kim (Keith McCoy) and son Jack. Proud grandparents to their three granddaughters Kylie, Kara (Jamie Young) and Kailyn.
Diane was predeceased by her parents Jack and Maude. Dear twin sister to Jackie Bloodworth (late Thomas) and younger sister Judy (Roger Bunt). Doug was predeceased by his parents George and Evelyn. Loved by his sisters and brothers George, Margaret, Bob (Terri Nicholson), Mary, June (Bryan Tranter) and Jean (Roy Hurdidge). Will be missed by many nieces, nephews and special friends.
Diane's no nonsense, tell it like it is, humorous personality, made her one of a kind. Doug was easy going, gentle and quiet, which made them quite a match. They both had a love for sports in which Diane played baseball when she was a teen. It was not uncommon for them to be watching the Toronto Blue Jays together. Doug was always there cheering on his favourite hockey team the Toronto Maple Leafs no matter what the outcome, while having a few "cold ones".
Doug and Diane enjoyed many years travelling "way up north" as they would say to Sauble Beach, Wiarton and Clinton just enjoying the simple things in life together. Doug loved to fish and any chance to just sit back and relax.
We will miss all the cards and letters Diane wrote and sent by mail, even though many of us could not read her handwriting (she would be the first to tell you that). We will also miss all of Doug's stories of his life experiences he told and when he told them, it was like he was reliving the memory all over again.
Messages and condolences can be left at www.forestcitycremation.com or through the Facebook page. A Celebration of Life will take place at a later date.
