Lorraine “Lori” Marie Lees (nee McKinnon)
September 3, 1961 – September 23, 2025
It is with deep love and sadness that we share the passing of Lorraine Marie Lees of London, Ontario, on Tuesday September 23, 2025, at the age of 64, after a courageous battle with Acute Myeloid Leukemia.
Lori will be forever cherished by her devoted husband Donald Lees, her beloved children Jennifer Lees (Scott) and Christopher Lees (Ashley), and her treasured grandchildren Ava, Brandon, Daniel, and Sloane. She is predeceased by her father Ronald “Butch” McKinnon and her in-laws Glen and Minerva Lees. She is lovingly remembered by her mother Margaret “Peggy” McKinnon, her siblings Joe (Elaine), Cheryl, and Ron (Heidi), as well as numerous nieces and nephews. A wide circle of extended family and dear friends will remember many joyful occasions and her warmth, humour, and generosity.
Lori built a long and dedicated career with the LCBO, working at numerous locations throughout London as both an Ontario Wine Rep and Assistant Manager. Known for her vibrant personality and love of life, Lori found great joy at the family cottage in Tobermory, enjoying memorable trips with Don and close friends. Her strength, kindness, and unwavering love for her family will remain an inspiration to all who knew her.
The family extends heartfelt thanks to the CCTC team at LHSC, the Oncology Department, and Dr. Sani for their compassionate care and support during Lori’s illness.
A casual Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, October 2, 2025, from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m at the Victory Legion (311 Oakland Ave London, Ontario), where friends and family are invited to gather and share memories.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Lori’s memory may be made to Canadian Blood Services or the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society of Canada, causes close to her heart.
Lori’s spirit will live on in the love she gave, the laughter she shared, and the countless memories she created with those who were fortunate to know her.
