He stayed there until in his words “it was time to hit the bricks” and that’s just what he did.
The next part of his life was spent in the Royal Canadian Air Force before eventually landing here in London. In 1958 he met a dark-haired beauty from Cape Breton and not to be outdone, he promptly told her he was from Saskatchewan. This marked the first and only time in history that a man said he was from Saskatchewan to impress a woman. On the morning of April 21, 2022, he left us to be with his dark-haired beauty and love of his life Anna. He is predeceased by his wife Anna, his daughter-in-law Wendy Dufton, his grandson Mike Dufton as well as all of his brothers and sisters.
He leaves behind his five children. Chuck (Liz), Laura, Christine (Jedd), David (Sandy) and Rebecca.
He also leaves behind, once again, in his own words, “ A whole raft of grandchildren and great grandchildren.” If you knew our father you will miss him. If you didn’t you missed out.
Bye Dad. We love you.
