Anna Mary Kirk (O'Neill)

Anna Mary Kirk (O'Neill) age 100 passed away peacefully with her family by her side on November 18th 2022 at Chartwell London Long Term Care. 

Born August 19th 1922 in Alberta to Patrick and Mildred O'Neill.  When she was six years old she and her family moved to Erinsville, Ontario.  She married James Orval Kirk on July 25, 1945 in Sudbury Ontario where they went on to raise six children.  A stay at home mom she was very busy raising her children and being an active member of her church community. In 1970 she returned to school to fulfill her lifelong dream of becoming a healthcare professional and she graduated as a Registered Nursing assistant. 

Anna is predeceased by her parents and her husband James Orval Kirk, her son Ronalk James Kirk and her grandson Brennan James Kirk and eight brothers and sisters. 

She is survived by her children Roland of British Columbia, Catherine of London, Robert (Dianna) of Oshawa, Grant of Calgary Alberta and Kimberly (Kevin) of London.  She is also survived by seven grandchildren Eugene Kirk, Todd Kirk, Teagan Kirk of Alberta, Ron Kirk (Shawna) of Kingston, Stephanie DeWard (Jeremy) of Guelph Shelby Kirk-Damm and Kaleb Kirk-Damm of London as well as ten great grandchildren. 

The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the staff of Chartwell London Long Term Care for the care and love and friendship they gave to Anna as she settled into her new home a year and a half ago. 

Anyone wishing to give donations in her name should be directed to the Kidney Foundation. Internment and celebration of her life will follow in the Spring.

Lucie Luckham

It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Lucie Luckham (nee Aubin) on November 17, 2022, at the age of 69. 
 
Daughter of Gérard Aubin and Marielle Caron, she is survived by her husband Allan Luckham, children Renée (Alin) and André (Erin). Loving Mamie to her grandchildren Dominic and Sebastian. She also held a special fondness for her stepchildren and grandchildren.  The eldest of her siblings, she leaves behind her brothers Mario (Brigitte), Yves (Carole) and Rémi (Lynn), and her sisters Line (Michel) and Carole, as well as many nephews and nieces. 
 
A celebration of life will be planned for June in North York.  Please leave your favorite memory or story of Lucie on the Facebook memorial page.

Barbara (Barb) Howe

It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Barb Howe on Nov 13/2022 at LHSC-University Hospital.

Beloved wife of the late Peter Howe, best friend and Mother of Sue, loving Mom to Brad (Ellen) and cherished Nana to Kira (Josh). Dear sister of Nancy, Chris (deceased). Barb is also survived by nieces Tracy, Joanne, Mary, Deborah and Allison, and nephews Scott and Tim. Special thanks to all her friends and neighbours who stayed close. Barb is now truly at peace.
 
A celebration of life will be held on January 21/2023 at the Royal Canadian Legion-Victory Branch-311 Oakland Avenue between 1pm and 4pm.  

Donations can be made to Bayshore Home Health who provided amazing PSW’s that helped Barb live independently.

Marilyn Jean Lindsay (nee Swindall) (Yeck and Mellen)

Passed away peacefully at Chelsey Park long term care in London on Saturday October 1, 2022, in her 86th year.

Marilyn was predeceased by her beloved husbands David (Bud) Lindsay (2009) and by her 1st husband John Wilfred Yeck (1965). Also predeceased by her sisters Joan (1983), Dorothy (2015), Lenore (2018) and Betty (2021), and her Mother Emily Saraha Swindall (1985). Marilyn will be missed by her sister Peggy MacDonald (St. Thomas) and many Nieces and Nephews. Dear Mother of Michael Yeck (Penny), Daniel Yeck (Liz), Ronald Mellen (Barbara), Randy Yeck (deceased at birth 1963) and Larry Mellen. Stepmother of Debbie, Michael, and Melanie. Loving Grandmother of John Yeck, Steve Yeck, Kenneth Yeck, Alex Yeck and Jennifer Mellen. Great Grandmother of Shawn, Zoey, Hunter, Marcus, Mason, Dravyn, Zxoie and James.

Cremation has taken place. A private service will take place to scatter Marilyn’s ashes in the Mount Pleasant scattering gardens.

Our Family would like to thank the caring Doctors, Nurses and all staff at Chelsey Park Long Term Care home who were so kind in caring for our Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother. Memorial Donations can be made to Chelsey Park Long Term Care www.chelseyparkrh.ca – 519-432-1845.

Michelle Angelina Badge

Long days, long nights, you bore the pain and hoped for a cure, but all in vain, then God decided what was best.     He took you home and gave you rest.

Michelle passed peacefully at Earls Court Village at age 55 from her MS. She was surrounded by loved ones. She will always be remembered as fun, adventurous women who held a boss attitude towards everything in life.

She will be missed by her son, Gordon Ives, her daughter Samantha Ives, partner Christina, her grandchildren, Asher, Lucas, Abi, Morgan, Megan, her dog Tonka. Her brothers and sister, her nieces and nephews and her friends and family from all over the world.

Michelle left her mark on everyone she met in her life; she made people smile and laugh and she will be forever missed.

Donations can be made to the MS Society on her behalf.

Celebration of life will be held from 1pm to 5pm on November 05, 2022, at the Canadian Corps
1051 Dundas St. London Ontario N5W3A4.

Donna Margaret Brunton

Peacefully on Sept 6th, 2022,  Donna Brunton born on Sept 26th, 1953 passed away in her 69th year after a year long battle with cancer. She was surrounded by her loving daughter Kristin Brunton & partner Trevor Haggith.

Donna is survived by her only daughter  Kristin Brunton (Trevor). She is pre-deceased by her husband Chris Brunton, parents George Masters  & Sylvia Masters (Chudoba) and brother, Eddie Masters. Survived by distant brothers Doug Masters (Alice) Larry Masters (Jon) and sister Barbara Hopf, Step children Liisa Woolley (Rob) & Ryan Brunton as well as many nieces and nephews friends and in-laws.

Born and raised in Sault Ste Marie ON where she Worked at Davis clothing store for a number of years. Will also be remembered in Newbury Ontario as she worked at the Newbury post office until moving to London Ontario. There she worked at value village and met her best friend Maureen Docherty.

She loved and spoiled her two cats Coco and Chanel and her daughters two dogs Brewski and Bellie.  

Donna enjoyed spending time with her daughter shopping going for dinners, lunch’s and watching her big screen TV. She loved to look her best with her hair, nails and makeup done but also loved to lounge in her favourite Pj’s and house coat watching crime shows. She will be forever remembered as a kind and caring person always putting others before herself, she will be greatly missed and forever loved.

Following her wishes there are no funeral  arrangements, a celebration of life will be held at a future date.

William "Bill" Arthur Cole

William Arthur Cole (known as Bill), born May 3 1937, died June 26, 2022 at 85 years old. 

Bill was a loving husband to the late Marilyn Cole (September 27, 2016) and father to Perry Cole (Cathy), Grant Cole, Cheryl Stone (Rob). Bill also had 5 grandchildren, Travis Holmes, Jessamine Cole, Tyler Cole, Rebecca Cole, and Dylan Cole.

Bill loved to play guitar and sing. He lived out his last 5 and a half years at Middlesex Terrace with dementia.

There will be a celebration of life on July 16, 2022 at the Eagles Club, 500 First St, London, Ontario from 1pm to 4pm.

Eugene Michael Crowley

Eugene Michael Crowley of London passed away peacefully at Victoria Hospital on June 10, 2022 at the age of 77.
​
Beloved husband of the late Jennifer “Ann” Crowley who passed heroically in 2003. Predeceased by his parents Liam and Penny Crowley. Absolute loving father of Sharon Diponio and Naomi Reintjes. Fun loving father in law to Mike Stuart and Mike Reintjes. Eugene adored his grandchildren, Matthew, Lyndsay, Ben, Jeremy (Diponio), Molly (Reintjes) and was thrilled to have a great-grandchild, Cooper.  Eugene will be fondly remembered by his sister and brothers, Charon Ackhurst, David and Alan Crowley, and predeceased by brother Barry.

Born in Dublin, Ireland and emigrating to Canada in the 60’s, Eugene spent most of his career working in executive level positions in the textile industry. He was well known for his outstanding comedic speaking abilities, worldwide travelling adventures and revered for his seemingly unlimited arsenal of ridiculously clever nicknames for all members of his family, especially his grandchildren and other assorted “slapheads”. Eugene’s family and friends will fondly, and lovingly, remember him as a gentleman and he will be greatly missed by his Waltzing Weasel family.

The funeral service will be held at Holy Family Catholic Church in London, Ontario, on Thursday June 16, 2022, at 10:00 am. Interment at St. Peter’s Catholic Cemetery to follow. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the London Run for Ovarian Cancer.

Stephen William Floyd Charlton

​It's with extreme sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Stephen William Floyd Charlton on May 29, 2022, in his 46th year at Victoria Hospital in London Ontario.

Loving son and buddy to his Mother Jeanne Charlton and Father the late Larry Charlton (1997).

 Awesome brother to Donna Charlton and Best friend to Crystal Hoy.

 Sadly missed by the fur cat babies Alli, Sissy and Jazzy.

 And his furbaby niece Poopy (Poppy).

 Missed by several Aunts, Uncles and cousins.

 Predeceased by both sets of grandparents.

Steve had a very full life before getting sick from being in St John Ambulance and React to following in his Dads footsteps of being a firefighter.

Steve moved to the United States where he got a job working on the stars boats bartending and serving up snacks.

He then continued on with his firefighting and EMT dreams where he was on several departments until he finally found his home and eventually became captain and  earned his nickname "Canada".

Steve will always be remembered for his kind heart and the willingness to help out anyone.
He was never mean to a stranger and always left people in a better place then when he found them. He will always be known for his incredible sense of humor and making even strangers burst out laughing.   Steve was a man of his word and a gentle soul and this world won’t be the same without him.

Edward Warren Brooks

July 17, 1920 to May 18, 2022

Edward Brooks passed away peacefully on May 18th at University Hospital in London, Ontario. 

Ted was married to his sunshine Elsie (nee Rendle) for over 65 years. She was the love and joy of his life until her passing in April 2009. Ted is survived by his children Nancy (Bill) and Paul (Diane), his grandchildren Karen (David) and Will (Jolene) and his great grandsons Jack and Evan. 

Ted served in the RCAF during World War II repairing radar systems in Wales and then in Ceylan. After his discharge from the air force, Ted worked for Northern Electric (Northern Telecom) until his retirement. Ted was born and raised in London, lived in Scarborough for over 40 years and in Tilsonburg for 12 years before returning to his hometown, residing at Riverside Retirement Residence until his passing. 

Ted enjoyed many hobbies such as creating stained glass art pieces and repairing small electronics as well as square dancing, playing bridge and travelling with his Elsie and their many close friends.

Ted will be missed dearly by his family and friends.
