Peacefully at home holding hands with her daughter Kimberly MacLay and son in law Jason MacLay, at the age of 70 years.

Born in Welland, Ontario, daughter of the late Vincent and Leona (Kottmeir) Millar.

Loving mother of Kimberly MacLay (husband Jason) and Brandon Wayne McPherson. Cherished grandmother of 3 wonderful grandchildren; Christopher Tufts and his wife Stephanie Tufts, Dylan MacLay and Brianna MacLay.

She was known by everyone as Grammy.   She was a ‘spicy’ one, who said it like it was and if you met her, you wouldn’t forget her. She had a way about her that always made people laugh and you never knew what she would say next.

She was always active in dog rescues and had a passion for saving dogs. She was looking forward to going to Rainbow Bridge after she passed so she could play with all the dogs.

Grammy always said “Don’t cry for the animals in rescues, cry for the ones who didn’t make it.”

A private family Celebration of  Georgina’s life will take place.

In lieu of flowers, donations in her honour would be graciously accepted by Full Circle Dog Rescue at   Donate | Full Circle Rescue.

“Love as powerful as your mother's for you leaves it's own mark. To have been loved so deeply, even though the person who loved us is gone, will give us some protection forever.”J.K. Rowling.

What a beautiful spirit and a beautiful soul. A strong woman who was always just herself and nobody else. Tell it like it is!! She once said regarding a mutual acquaintance: “that woman has a heart as big as the moon, with the personality of a root canal”

We got the pleasure of meeting Georgina by adopting Smokey (one of her cherished fur babies) (side note: she told us Eddie washed whales at Marineland :))
and became friends from that moment on. She reminded me so much of my mom.

We visited (and always told to bring our dogs) and shared so many laughs that she made a home in our heart. She shared that she is looking forward to crossing the rainbow bridge so that she can pet and play with Smokey. Always thinking of others as she knew we want to know he is loved there as well.

It is sad that she is not with us physically but I do believe she is and always will be here spiritually (Sam Elliott may want to go into hiding).

I really wish i could say that I am sorry for your loss, but i’m not. It is unfair to keep someone we love who is in pain here, with us. She fought the fight and is now at peace, pain free and a warrior to the end. Georgina will live forever, in our thoughts, in our laughter and in our hearts. Don’t cry because you miss her, celebrate that you met her and blessed to have her in your life.

To all the family and friends. I pray that she guides you as you grieve, that she visits you in your dream and that she leaves you dimes as a sign of her continuous love to you.
Ask Georgina for help when you need help amd
Call her when you are sad. To talk to Georgina; make the sign of the cross, pray to her and talk because she is listening and then hang up by making the sign of the cross.

God bless- Brent, Suzana, Addison, Noelle, Milo, Penny,Gibby and Bowdy.

What an amazing piece. Thank you so much. I’ve heard so much about your family through mom and it meant so much to her that you stayed in touch after Smokey joined your family.
You described her personality bang on.
And you’re right, Sam is wondering why his things are being moved around as we speak! Thank you again for your wonderful thoughts.

Kim and family,
It was just brought to my attention, that I could find Georgina's obit here. My last conversation with her was Jan.2nd.We were only friends for a few years but had many a good laugh. Last summer her and I shared some good days in my backyard as long as she could sit out. As much as I hated to see her go, I would not wish her back. She earned her angel wings the hard way. Rest in peace my dear friend I think of you daily and miss you dearly.
Nancy
