Karli Frances Marks, 34, passed peacefully with her loved ones by her side. Karli was born February 3, 1986 in Edmonton, Alberta. She spent her childhood in Dartmouth NS where she developed a great love for the ocean and all things mermaid, before moving to London as a young teen.

Karli was a fighter to the end, a courageous and beautiful soul. She was kind and compassionate and cared deeply about others. She was a light that shone brightly, and our world will not be the same without her in it. She was a devoted mother, daughter, sister, niece, auntie, cousin, and soul mate – and will forever be in our hearts.

Karli is survived by her beloved son Jordan Marks-Duncan, her parents William (Billy) Marks and Janet (Murray) Marks. In addition to her heartbroken family, she leaves a wide circle of dear friends that she cherished deeply, and her precious dog Gigi.

Now at rest, Karli is reunited with her dearly loved brother Jay (Jason Marks 4/14/15), her grandparents Rita and Jack Murray (St Thomas, ON), Fran and Willy Marks (Saint John, NB); her aunts Patsy Marks and Maureen Griffin and uncles Daniel Marks and Chris Murray; and her much loved dog Ruby.

“How lucky I am to have something that makes saying goodbye so hard.”--A.A. Milne

A very special thank you to the VON nurses as well as the wonderful staff at St. Joseph’s Hospice who took such good care of Karli in her final days. In lieu of flowers please consider a donation to St Joseph’s Hospice https://sjhospicelondon.com/make-a-difference/giving/in-memoriam-in-honour-giving/ in Karli's memory.

A celebration of Karli’s life will be scheduled at a later date. Please visit Karli's obituary notice on Facebook.
