Fran is survived by Stewart, her husband of 70 years, daughter Lexanne of Norland and son Bradley (Ann), step grand-daughter Alana (Nicolas), step great-grandchildren, Helena, Sydney and Cameron all of Ottawa.
She was predeceased by her parents Marie and Oscar Richer, her sister Gerane and her first born son Kirk.
Francine was born and raised in Kapuskasing and moved to London in retirement years. She loved hunting, fishing, camping, chopping wood, shoveling snow, being at the cottage and singing in the Church choir. Her interests later expanded to horticulture where she and Stew excelled; winning many yard & garden awards. Fran went so far as to hold several positions of office and schooled to become a Horticultural Judge.
Francine was a good cook and a great baker, her Christmas shortbread was highly anticipated each year. She enjoyed doing cross-stitch, scratch art and puzzles, reading and playing board games.
In retirement years Fran and Stew spent just shy of 30 years RVing south each winter and spending summers at their Remi Lake cottage.
Due to a previously planned & imminent move to Ottawa, the family requests no flowers. There will be no visitation nor service at this time, however as an expression of sympathy, donations to your choice of The Leprosy Mission of Canada or The Canadian Red Cross, would be appreciated by the family.
