Predeceased by his first wife Dorothy (nee Bogie) and siblings Evelyn, William, and Robert and survived by sister Jean Gillies.
Jerry started his career operating his own construction company building homes in the London area. Subsequently he joined the London Fire Department where after his first year as a firefighter he was a Fire/Building Inspector with the LFD until he retired. Jerry had a life long passion for country music and enjoyed playing his guitar and singing with other musicians. When he moved to Illderton in 2009 he organized with other musicians to meet weekly at the Club House and perform for the residents of Vintage Green. Jerry also loved playing golf with his friends in Ilderton and he played until last year when his health began to deteriorate.
Jerry and his family are most appreciative for all the care and support provided by many, especially those at the St Joseph’s hospital heart and kidney failure clinics and his personal physician Dr. Darren Van Dam and Paula Day.
Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life open house will take place on Sunday June 2, 2019 from 2 PM to 4 PM at the Vintage Green Club House, Ilderbrook Circle, Ilderton.
