Eileen was born and raised in St. Catharines, Ontario on September 14, 1931 to Euphemia (Fern) and Lorne Sutton (both from Quebec).
Eileen was mother to Derwyn (Larry), Scott and Lynn. She raised her children with love and devotion with her husband William (Bill) Allen.
Eileen was a secretary for the military prior to marriage. She travelled as a military wife with her husband for several years before settling in Ontario with a young family where she worked at a school as a secretary.
She was the church secretary at St. Aidan’s Anglican Church in London for over 30 years until she retired at age 81 (https://www.facebook.com/staidanschurchlondon/), Eileen was known for her love of the church, attention to detail and sense of community. Her hobbies included many forms of needle work, church activities and travel. She was very proud of her grandchildren and her children’s accomplishments.
She is survived by her sons Larry (Karen) and Scott (Joanne) Allen and daughter Lynn along with her grandchildren Sean, Craig (Amy), David, Blake, Kahli, Brett and Travis and her great grandson John. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Eileen was predeceased by her husband Bill and her parents Fern and Lorne and brother Bill.
In these unprecedented times, the family has chosen to postpone a celebration of life until the Spring of 2022. She will be cremated at Forest City Cremation Services in London, Ontario.
